Magnetic Fields from Cores to Stars (Bfields-2024)

    March 25 - 29, 2024, at NAOJ (Mitaka campus)
Bfields-2024 was an international conference dedicated to exploring the role of magnetic fields throughout the entire process of star formation and stellar evolution.
Researches from around the world, spanning both observational and theoretical fields, gathered to share cutting-edge findings. The meeting highlighted the integration of observations, theory, and simulations, positioning magnetic field studies within the broader context of star formation. It also strengthened global research networks, laying the foundation for future collaborations and new observational projects.

Interstellar filament paradigm: on their formation, evolution, and role in star formation (Filaments-2018)

    November 5 - 9, 2018, at Nagoya University
Filaments-2018 was an international conference held at Nagoya University to explore the formation, evolution, and role of interstellar filaments in star formation.
Researchers from around the world, spanning observational and theoretical fields, gathered to share insights on how filaments shape the initial conditions for star formation and influence galaxy evolution. The event strengthened global research networks and laid the foundation for future collaborations, establishing the “filament paradigm” as a cornerstone in star formation studies.
